The impact of Covid-19 on employment in the automotive job market has already been remarkable. The full effects of the pandemic are yet to be seen but coupled with the uncertainty around Brexit, the long term future of the industry, and those employed within the sector, is under threat.

  • 21.4% of automotive professionals were affected by being furloughed
  • 21.4% of automotive professionals were affected by being terminated
  • 57.1% of automotive professionals were affected by being made redundant

 

  • 70.4% of automotive professionals have not been advised when they will return to work
  • 91.3% of automotive professionals are not concerned about returning to work

 

  • 50% of automotive professionals are concerned about the future of their current job
  • 80% of automotive professionals have searched for a new job daily in the last 3 months
  • 36.8% of automotive professionals have applied for ‘up to 5’ jobs in the last 3 months
